After receiving your application, we will send you an email to plan a good start date for your dog. We will evaluate your dog on their first day but will continue to re-evaluate and communicate any observations or concerns. We highly encourage that the dogs arrive by 9 am, this is not mandatory but it helps keep the dogs comfortable and the arousal levels low as they begin their daily routine. We are open from 6:30 am to 6 pm. We understand there are hold ups but there will be a $7.00 late fee for pickups after 6 PM.
Your dog will need to know basic commands and have an understanding of recall in order to take a trip to the dog park. For this, a Dane County Dog Park permit is also required that can be purchased here. Special on leash 1-2 mile hikes is also available on the nearby Yahara Heights Hiking Trail.
Proof of up to date rabies, distemper, and bordetella will need to be provided before your dog will be allowed at daycare. Proof of a negative fecal within the past 12 months will also need to be provided. Flea and tick control and heartworm prevention are required. All dogs washed by River Paws staff need to have proof of current vaccinations. All dogs older than six months are required to be spayed or neutered.
